Tiffany is dedicated to A Hole in My Heart Ministry and all that it has to offer. She wants nothing more then to extend comfort to other grieving mothers as they cope with the loss of their child or children. With her faith keeping her strong and the reassurance of knowing she will see her son Jr. in Heaven on their reunion day she strives to help others find comfort in God and His promise that we will all be together again someday.

Tragically, Tiffany’s 2 year old son Jr. was murdered and went home to Heaven August 7, 2007 after he suffered a traumatic head injury and spent a week in Cook Children’s Hospital. After the death of Jr., Tiffany always felt she was being called to honor Jr's death and found that mission in joining A Hole In My Heart Ministry as a board member.

Tiffany was introduced to Autumn and A Hole In My Heart, by her counselor, during a weekly session shortly after the death of her son. The first event Tiffany attended was the "The Well of Hope" event with guest speaker Thelma Wells. She has attended monthly meetings, special events and fundraisers since October 2007 and let’s just say she has barely missed a function the ministry has offered.

Tiffany Lopez graduated from Boyd High School in 2000 and attended Weatherford College, Decatur Campus shortly after. Tiffany has a living son, 3 1/2 year old Jeremiah and she is married to her best friend and greatest supporter, Tano Lopez. They just welcomed a new daughter, Abby in February of 2011, and all 4 reside in Boyd, Texas.

Meet Alma

Alma Sanchez
Meet Scharlyn

Scharlyn Henderson

Alma has been attending and participating in activities with A Hole in My Heart Ministry since 2008, immediately following the death of her daughter Rachel who passed of Leukemia at the age of 8 years old. Alma has been a participant in every way possible to the group, from attending monthly meetings, special events, fundraisers, retreats and more. She also brings with her the gift of being Bi-Lingual which helps us to further meet the needs of our Hispanic Community.

Alma initiated a special program at Cook Children’s Medical Center over 3 years ago, and on each anniversary of her daughter’s birth, she delivers gifts to children on the Oncology floor. It is a great joy and pleasure for Alma to add some light into these precious children’s already darkened lives.

Serving on the board for A Hole in My Heart is just another way for Alma to minister to hurting moms. Her husband and their 4 children live in Weatherford, Texas and enjoy attending church, spending time with family and the company of good friends. Alma’s eldest daughter, Christina, also attends many of the functions with her and both add a special and unique perspective on loss.

Alma is known for her kind and gentle heart and will be an added delight to this already growing ministry.
